Rod MacGregor

President & Chief Executive Officer

For more than three decades, Rod has led global companies across the United States, Europe, China and the Middle East. Rod’s companies have partnered with a range of multinational corporations in the energy and technologies industries, including Royal Dutch Shell, AT&T, Intel and Volkswagen. His first company, Insignia Solutions Ltd., received the Queen of England’s award for technical achievement and the Queen’s award for export achievement, and subsequently went public on NASDAQ. He has founded three other venture capital-backed companies.

Pete von Behrens

Chief Technology Officer

Pete provides the technical leadership for GlassPoint. The NanoMuscle product he designed is now embedded in Volkswagen, BMW and Mercedes automobiles, putting his concepts in daily use by millions of car drivers. He was the founder of Alternative Motion Solutions, which focused on concept through production development of electro-mechanical projects requiring the use of traditional or alternative motors and solar thermal devices. He is named on numerous U.S. and international patents.

David Allsworth

Chief Financial Officer

David oversees GlassPoint’s financial and administrative operations. He has more than two decades of financial experience with companies across the oil and gas and energy industries. He most recently served as a divisional SVP and CFO with IMI PLC, a global engineering group. Previously, David held senior financial roles at Alstom Power, where he oversaw a $10B+ international project portfolio for Alstom’s global gas power plant business. Prior to Alstom, he served as CFO of the industrial gas turbine division for Siemens AG.

Ben Bierman

Chief Operating Officer

Ben leads global engineering and manufacturing operations at GlassPoint, overseeing the execution of solar EOR projects worldwide. He has more than three decades of design, manufacturing and scale-up experience at global energy and technology companies, including Applied Materials, Lam Research and Coherent. He brings extensive experience with plant design and facilities construction. Throughout his career, Ben has helped deploy nearly one million solar panels in more than 1,000 installations across 20 countries.

Hussain Shehab

Kuwait Country Chairman

Hussain is leading GlassPoint’s expansion in the State of Kuwait. Hussain held various management positions throughout his 30-year career at Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), including Deputy Managing Director overseeing the West Kuwait fields. He most recently served as Managing Director and CEO of Al-Dorra Petroleum Services Company during which Al-Dorra acquired several private oil services companies. He previously served on the Board of Directors for Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC) and Burgan Company for Well Drilling.

John O’Donnell

Vice President of Business Development

John brings tremendous depth of experience in the solar thermal arena to GlassPoint as former founder and president of Ausra, Inc. (now AREVA Solar), one of the early leaders in the solar industry. John started his career at U.S. Department of Energy’s Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. He was founder and holder of executive positions at Venearth Group, Pixelworks, Inc., Equator Technologies, Inc. and Multiflow Computer, Inc. John is named on nine U.S. patents. He has a B.Sc. with Special Distinction in Computer Science from Yale University.

Daniel Palmer

Vice President of Sales

Daniel works with leading oil companies to expand business opportunities for GlassPoint in the Middle East. He previously spent more than 20 years at Schlumberger, where he served several roles in marketing, business development and operations across the globe. He most recently served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in the Middle East. Daniel is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), holds a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Cambridge and attended Heriot-Watt University for post-graduate studies in petroleum engineering.
